ABOUT ME

Elk River High School

I have been running since before digital cameras were a thing... That's right, before smart phones too, my first running races were documented on a roll of film. Makes you feel old right? Well, maybe not if you have no idea what I'm talking about... Anyway, it means I have been running competitively for a while now, 11 years to be exact.

7th grade was where it all began for me. I ran on the Varsity team all 6 years with some of the best people I have ever met, coached by a couple of the best mentors you could ask for. I never won a State individual title, but I wouldn't think about changing anything about the experience I had.

High School running was a game-changer for me. It taught me how to feel passionate about something and never lose sight of the joy that it brings me.

Boise State University

I had modest times of 5 minutes in the mile and 11 minutes in the 2-mile in High School, so I thought there was no way I would be able to run at the Division 1 level, let alone on a scholarship. But Boise State and its coaches decided to take a chance on that small-town girl from Elk River, and for that I am forever grateful.

There are countless life lessons I learned throughout my years at Boise State. None more than how important it is to surround yourself with people that help you grow. I am so thankful to have been part of a team that valued hard work and dedication.

Without the team, I would have never become a 12-time All American, won a National title in the 10k, or become a professional runner. What a different life it would be if Boise State hadn't chosen me.

Boston Athletic Association

I haven't been on Team BAA for long, but I can tell you how bright I see our future together being. It has been a great 4 months of training and I am eager than ever to make big improvements and become not just a good runner, but a great one.

In order for a runner to go from being good to great, they need a huge support system. The Boston Athletic Association has countless employers that aren't just excited about running, they live and breathe running. These are the people that I trust. These are the people that believe in me, and I in them. I can't wait to embark on my journey in becoming a World-class runner with BAA by my side.
